Small Weddings, Big Meaning

Not every wedding needs to be large or extravagant to feel incredibly special.

In fact, some of the most emotional and meaningful weddings I have had the privilege of leading have been the smaller, quieter ones.

There is often something wonderfully intimate about gathering together with just the people closest to you.

Smaller weddings can create a calmer and more relaxed atmosphere where couples genuinely have time to enjoy the day rather than feeling overwhelmed by schedules and expectations.

Guests often feel more connected too.

There is more time for conversations, shared moments, laughter, and genuine togetherness.

For some couples, a small wedding also removes some of the pressure that can come with planning a larger event.

It allows them to focus less on trying to impress people and more on what truly matters.

Love. Connection. Commitment.

A smaller wedding does not mean a smaller celebration.

The emotion, warmth, and meaning are often even stronger because the day feels so personal.

Many of the couples I work with choose intimate countryside venues, family gardens, small village halls, or cosy indoor spaces filled with candlelight and warmth.

Others simply want a quiet ceremony surrounded by their nearest and dearest.

There is no right or wrong way.

What matters most is creating a wedding day that feels comfortable, genuine, and meaningful to you.

At the heart of every wedding is two people choosing one another.

That is what people remember.
