I want to thank you for officiating Mum’s funeral. It was just the service we wanted for her and I think she would have liked it as well. Family and friends who attended all commented how good you were and I’ve had some lovely emails from family who watched the service via webcast and they all commented how lovely the service was and you were excellent, the right tone for Mum and the occasion.

Thank you again for everything you did to get us to the service and your support.

Jon was simply amazing. The moment i met JonI instantly knew that he was the man we wanted for mum’s minister. Jon guided us through the day of the funeral. He is an extraordinary kind and compassionate minister.

Needless to say, mum’s service was stunning! Everyone loved it, so friendly and personal and that is down to you, thank you so much. The on line attendees particularly loved the touch of turning to wave at them, even though there wasn’t much enthusiasm for it in the room.

I was such a blubbering mess at the service that I have to admit I couldn’t really focus on the day but I did watch parts of it back on the streaming service and it wonderful. Everyone worked so hard to make it special for which G and I are so grateful. I know my mum would have loved it, just the right mix of traditional, religion and family!

Please keep doing what you do, you are amazing and really helped us at a difficult time.

I just wanted to take the time to thank you for mums service on Tuesday; it was delivered with much sensitivity and sincerity and a much fitting tribute.
Family and friends made very positive comments at the wake.
I appreciate the time and effort that you put into the service and your support following mums passing.

Jon recently delivered the service for my brother Andrew’s funeral. Throughout the process, from our initial face-to-face meeting (on his day off) to the final delivery, Jon was compassionate, empathetic and helpful in how he dealt with us. One of my first concerns was how I would manage to read the eulogy. Jon reassured me that I would be able to get through it. He would step in if needed, but not take over as it was important I gave the tribute, even if there were a few glitches. When we went to look at the chapel, he gave useful, practical suggestions. Importantly we felt Jon understood what our brother was like and reflected this in the service. We had very positive feedback from members of the congregation about what a beautiful service they had attended. Our family would highly recommend Jon for any service you are considering.

I have received so many wonderful messages saying how lovely the service was. Dad would have loved it.

I would like to thank you for your invaluable assistance and guidance, requested at rather short notice, in the preparation and subsequent excellent service you gave today.
I was not looking forward to today’s proceedings, but actually found it to be a much more bearable experience thanks to your involvement for which were are all very grateful. I would like to offer my sincere thanks to you for your guidance and support in the period leading up to my uncle’s funeral. Being so far away from Brighton, the process seemed somewhat daunting at times, but you made it so straightforward. In particular though, I really must say a very big “thank you” for the truly exceptional service that you led on Tuesday afternoon, to celebrate the life of my uncle. Never one for having any great fuss made, I am sure that he would have strongly approved of the simple, yet dignified way in which you created the epilogue to John’s best selling novel – a really lovely analogy, and one which I have never heard before, despite the very large number of funerals that I seem to have attended in recent years.

I’m feeling very content this morning as yesterday, although tough, has been a long time coming. It went so well and following the service we enjoyed an amazing ‘afternoon tea’ reminiscing and catching up just as dad wanted which truly helps with the whole grieving process.

Just wanted to say a big thank you for today and the words you chose to send my Uncle off in such a fitting manner. Your words about painting and then later about the stars & elements were really touching and the Family (both there in-person and watching online) were all pleased how personalised everything was. My Father and Brother said it was very moving. Also, an additional personal thank you from me too for being on hand for support while I spoke my words and also for letting me get through it in my own way. It was hard but I’m so pleased I managed it.

Thanks so much for conducting yesterday’s ceremony. It all went very smoothly and everyone has been saying to us how well it summed up Mum’s life and was what she would have wanted. All her family and friends were there to say their final farewells.

I’m sure Mum would have approved.
