Purpose
This policy explains the professional standards that guide my work as an independent Minister and Celebrant. My aim is to provide a caring, respectful and reliable service to every family, couple and client I work with.
Policy
I am committed to providing a professional service at all times. Every ceremony is treated with the dignity, care and respect it deserves, recognising that each person’s circumstances and wishes are unique.
I will always:
- Treat every person with kindness, compassion and respect.
- Listen carefully to the wishes of my clients and create ceremonies that reflect their needs.
- Communicate clearly, honestly and promptly.
- Maintain appropriate professional boundaries.
- Respect confidentiality and protect personal information.
- Work professionally alongside funeral directors, venues and other organisations.
- Continue to develop my knowledge and skills through ongoing professional development.
- Conduct myself with honesty, integrity and professionalism at all times.
Where I am unable to meet a request or believe something is not appropriate, I will explain this openly and work with you to find a suitable alternative wherever possible.
My aim is to provide a service that gives people confidence, reassurance and support during some of life’s most important occasions.
Review
This policy will be reviewed annually and updated where necessary to reflect changes in legislation, professional guidance or working practices.
