Purpose
This policy explains my approach to photography, video recording and audio recording during ceremonies.
Policy
I understand that many families and clients wish to capture important moments during a ceremony. I am happy for photographs and recordings to be taken, provided they are carried out respectfully and do not distract from the dignity or flow of the ceremony.
Where appropriate, I encourage families to let guests know if photography or recording is welcome, or if they would prefer the ceremony to remain private.
I will always respect the wishes of the family, the venue and any restrictions that may apply. Some crematoria, churches and other venues have their own rules regarding photography and recording, and these must always be followed.
I will not photograph, video or record a ceremony for my own use without obtaining permission beforehand.
Any photographs or recordings that include me remain the property of the person who created them unless otherwise agreed.
My priority is to ensure that every ceremony remains respectful, meaningful and focused on those it is intended to honour or celebrate.
Review
This policy will be reviewed annually and updated where necessary to reflect changes in legislation, professional guidance or working practices.
