Purpose
This policy explains how I work safely when carrying out meetings, home visits and ceremonies on my own.
Policy
As an independent Minister and Celebrant, I often work alone when meeting families, visiting venues and conducting ceremonies.
I am committed to taking reasonable steps to protect my own safety while continuing to provide a professional and reliable service.
Where appropriate, I will let a trusted person know where I am working and when I expect to return. I will also carry a mobile phone whenever possible and take sensible precautions when travelling to appointments.
If I ever feel that a situation may place my safety or the safety of others at risk, I reserve the right to rearrange a meeting or suggest an alternative location.
Where meetings are held in a client’s home, I will always act professionally, respectfully and maintain appropriate professional boundaries.
My aim is to provide a safe environment for everyone while delivering the highest standard of service.

This policy will be reviewed annually and updated where necessary to reflect changes in legislation, professional guidance or working practices.
